I couldn't quite follow all of the ins and outs of your complex example,
but I can observe that attitudes fall under the heading of dispositional
concepts, and these are things -- excuse my reification -- that figure
rather heavily in most discussions of inquiry, belief revision, and
scientific method, just to name a few. (04)
In the context of an "inquiry into inquiry", I have explored various
formal and mathematical models for things like attitudes, dispositions,
situations, and so on. (05)
The test of such models is of course in whether they help us
understand the pertinent phenomena that present themselves. (06)
