I would like to point out our work on SHDM (Semantic Hypermedia Design Method, whose origins actually precede the WWW), which is a model-driven design and implementation approach for web applications, and uses models expressed as ontologies.
Details can be found in http://www.tecweb.inf.puc-rio.br/synth, including a video for a freely available, open source tool (Synth), and links to a paper describing it.

Thanks for your reply.

May I suggest that the next Summit Website use Ontologies to show that using Ontologies is the way to go.

The following is a reference on using Ontologies for Website development --

Nice Website!!!

Thanks!

Was an ontology used to create this website?

We would have loved to have used an ontology, but the website was made under a very tight deadline and is very much a quickly thrown together hack.

If so, it would be instructional if there is presentation on how it was done.

Sincerely,

Hello all,

Just an fyi - (a very hacked, quickly thrown together but hopefully pretty and accessible version of) the 2012 summit website is now online!

Also, a big thank you to ThomasGetgood for helping get it up and running.

Best,
Ali
