I'm certainly glad that someone is trying to put him back into place!

I would suggest also adding: "....Until you have made proper attribution to our work, and clearly state on your website...." and give proper credits and references to the work of the ONTOLOGY SUMMIT contributors.

I think you need to be very blunt with Brand - he does not seem to pick up on subtleties.

In your advocacy of using MindTouch to "repurpose the Summit content," I assume you have given due consideration to our contribution guidelines and IPR Policy. And so I hope MindTouch is an open source technology, and that when repurposing our Summit content, one would be doing it in accordance with our "reciprocal" use license.

 

Until you have made proper attribution to our work, and clearly state on your website that your work is also openly shared under OPL v1.0 or (cc by-sa 3.0), please remove our Summit content from your website.

I would suggest you just use a web application like MindTouch that support WOA (Web-oriented Architecture) to repurpose the Summit content so it supports the Sitemap and Schema protocols that improve search with well-defined URLs.

We would have loved to have used an ontology, but the website was made under a very tight deadline and is very much a quickly thrown together hack.

 

 

If so, it would be instructional if there is presentation on how it was done.
