I agree with your comments. As a CEO (one that's been in this capacity 
for 20 years), the challenge boils down to a concise narrative that 
makes the opportunity-costs of the following contemporary challenges, 
totally palpable:    (02)

1. Data Volume - on an exponential curve
2. Data Velocity - ditto
3. Data Variety (or Heterogeneity) - ditto
3. Data Location Disparity - ditto .    (03)

Align the items above with the eternal pursuit of enterprise (and 
individual) agility and you have pitch that any executive level decision 
maker will comprehend.    (04)

Finally, merging hyperlinks, structured documents, and the internet has 
had profound impact on enterprise and individuals alike. The same thing 
is already happening as we merge hyperlinks, structured documents, 
structured data, and the internet :-)    (05)
