not quite sure what the point here was ;)    (01)

in what way does an opinion differ from a statement of fact?  if i say
'this discussion is useless' and you all disagree, then it is my
subjective opinion, and if you all agree, then it is a statement of
fact -- ?    (02)

as already mentioned here by someone, we may be in big trouble trying to 
discern what is about a fact and what only purports to be.  how do we 
then recognize something as a statement of fact, to be sure it is not 
merely an opinion?  the history of science teaches us that many 
statements of fact were not correct (according to our current opinions).    (03)

since you invoke common sense, how is it supposed to support making the
distinction?  there can also be common nonsense, and to be sure your 
distinction between one and the other is based on common sense rather 
than on common nonsense you need first to distinguish these two... 
using common sense?    (04)
