Dear all, (01)
A recap of the decisions we took yesterday to launch the registrations,
on the basis of what the majority expressed (I hope we didn't
misunderstand this): (02)
- Lower fees have been implemented (student 150 / regular 250) (03)
a good sign is that a lot of people is joining IAOA and we already have
the first registered. (04)
- We require that people join IAOA first, and then register to the
summer school, and the same for grant requests. (05)
- Grant application deadline is April 8, and early registration deadline
officially is April 16. (06)
it turns out that it is not too difficult to allow for a given list of
members to maintain the early registration fees for a longer period, so
depending on how the grant selection process goes, we may let the
applicants register later at the early rates. (07)
Now the question to the Executive Council: (08)
- Do we want to implement a 2 or 3 working day "fast approval track"
right now and up to the early registration deadline (valid as well for
FOIS)? (09)
I had planned for a "fast approval track" only at the end of the early
registration period, but probably because of the announced limited
capacity, some people are getting nervous before the normal week delay. (010)
NB: up to now we never had any objections to any membership, and I do
not expect a different situation to arise with summer school participants. (011)
Best,
Laure (012)
