Without noticing that the meaning has changed. [1] defines 'resource' to be the
target of an HTTP request, which is fine. However, TimBL and the W3C use
'resource' to mean 'anything that can be denoted by a URI', ie anything. Which
is ridiculous, and has caused more confusion and wasted debate than almost any
other bad decision I can think of, except possibly the British partitioning of
Palestine in 1947. (03)
