I can conceive of a thread than which none more pointless can be conceived.  If a thread than which none more pointless can be conceived does not exist, then I can conceive of a thread more pointless  that a thread than which none more pointless can be conceived; namely a thread than which none more pointless can be conceived which exists- an absurdity.  Therefore a thread that which none more pointless can be conceived  exists.
