I can somewhat agree but in Music to emphasize everything is to emphasize
nothing. If one defines a performance as an aggregation of song
performances, a 4'33" silence bridges two other section and will definitely
emphasize the reintroduction of sound wave patterns in the subsequent
component of the performance. While some will argue that the 4'33" is
meaningless, pauses and spaces can accentuate and create awareness. (01)

The group who is doing the longest performance in the world (scheduled to
take over 600 years) has also incorporated very long measures of silence
however this is mostly attributed to their rather slow time signature. (03)
