Oh, what the heck, I might as well contribute
my Canadian Dollar's worth to this discussion.    (02)

It's always worth a shot anchoring our aim to solve any design problem
in the way that evolution more or less solved a similar design problem.
More or less, there's the rub, because analogies always break down, and
even evolution has been forced to layer its successive successes on top
of one another when it turned out that its previous successes were just
not successful enough.    (03)

For example, one of the reasons that evolution evolved immune systems
in its most beloved pets -- us of course -- is that its previous ways
of adapting us to our environment were just not fast enough, and then
again, one of the reasons why evolution evolved brawnier brains in us
is that our immune systems are just too slow, yet again, & so it goes.    (04)

There's a lesson in that, for sure.    (05)
