Ravi I know that I accommodate different beliefs systems thanks to a split personality, but I do struggle with sanity at times (in the sense that the so called really 'rational' people seem really like stupid robots to me) Unfortunately ontlogical uncertainty is regarded as a pathology by western psychology as a pathological syndrome In The Divided Self (1960), Laing contrasted the experience of the "ontologically secure" person with that of a person who "cannot take the realness, aliveness, autonomy and identity of himself and others for granted" and who consequently contrives strategies to avoid "losing his self". [11] I wonder since you ((and Pavitra) and maybe others on this list) who are scientists and researchers in a 'western' sense and also have cultural roots in eastern system of belief which surely you can only shed to a point, how you guys are reconcile the different beliefs into one coherent lifetime P On Thu, Jan 21, 2010 at 8:09 PM, ravi sharma <drravisharma@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Paola -- Paola Di Maio ************************************************** “Logic will get you from A to B.
