That informal "rule" is aimed at commercial promotions, not
announcements of information one has that is available to the group for
free, nor for offers to provide such information in a talk. Pointers
to relevant non-commercial information and offers to provide
information are always welcome.
You might have noted that all the comments thus far range from
positive to enthusiastic about having such a talk at Ontology, and I
add my own enthusiastic agreement that such a talk would be very
helpful to the purpose of this group. (01)
