One has to install the compatibility package from MS:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&DisplayLang=en.
This update will allow you to view MS Office 2007 files in Office 2003.    (01)

Peter,    (04)

The slides work fine, but only if you use PowerPoint 2007.    (05)

I suspect they were created in Office 2007.    (06)

Whether save-as or otherwise, they won't display in the Office 2003 version of
PowerPoint.    (07)

Hope you are having a great day!    (08)
