A new paper in "Neuron", (01)
The Gallant Laboratory at Department of Psychology, University of
California at Berkeley has just published a paper in "Neuron" about
their work in "mapping semantics on the cortex of the brain". (02)
"A continuous semantic space describes representation of thousands of
object and action categories across the human brain. Neuron, December 20
2012." (03)
An overview is described graphically in this YouTube video at this URL:

If you go to YouTube.com; search on: "Perceptual Object and Action Maps
in the Human Brain" (04)
Their work also includes an online viewer that shows flattened maps of
the mapping of the semantics on the cortex. You will need WebGL to use
the tool. (05)
To use the brain explorer tool go to: http://gallantlab.org/
and click on "Brain VIewer" (06)
It is impressive work, however, I think of it more of a taxonomy viewer
than a semantic viewer. It seems to be missing any notion of the control
system behind the brain mappings. Still, it is very impressive.
Maybe they could use some ontology assistance. (07)
