This is a great article.

 

The first link of Wolfram|Alpha vedio presentation at Harvard sounded more like his website would be a collection of Ontologies, like the one that was proposed in Ontolog work group.

 

But the resulted in a search engine !   

 

Looks like Yahoo and Google search engines provid links to the information,  where as Wolfram Alpha search engine provides the result information / comparision in a chart format most of time ( which may what one wants if the question is specific !)

 

Unit Conversion works fine in both google and Wolfram Alpha!

 

Seems like Wolfram got the requirements from Ontolog face to face summit ( NIST).  Especially the unit conversion!

 

Amazing, how soon the prayers get answered in technology tool format!

The test is mildly interesting, but not as informative as one
might hope.  The two systems are so completely different, that
anyone who became a frequent user of both would learn to use
them for different purposes with different kinds of input.
