That's unfortunate. When you have replied to postings about some
reference being an "interesting read" I've found it doubly important to
follow up on that reference. (03)

I would agree that some discussion threads are a chorus of beating heads
against brick walls. Some threads should whither and die, and they will. (06)

Open forums are a way for n00bs (a.k.a. newbies) like me that are
surfing the noosphere to ask questions. Every once in a while I'm going
to mumble and grumble about barriers (organizational, political,
economic, etc) that will lead to some heated responses. To that I
apologize. Closed forums can't teach me anything. (08)
As for the soapbox's, grandstanding, etc., I have found that email
filters that mark some source address with labels and colors work well.
I have a light gray that makes the message almost disappear :-). (09)
