I'm an active user of Knoodl...  we use it internally.   And occassionally, I've used it the free external site.

 

It is a great wiki-like tool for capturing controlled vocabulary and allows you to embed SPARQL queries (over your vocabulary) into it's wiki text.   It also allows for instances as well as classes.  But its strong suit, for now, is still the class level stuff.   Its not the greatest OWL editor, but its goal is collaboration with the benefit exporting into OWL.  I would like to see more support with more forum-like discussion threads rather than the wiki-style discussion page, but all in all, a good simple tool for communicating ideas between onto types and non-onto types. :-)

yesterday Gary Berg Cross and myself attended a remote demo of Knoodl
(knoodl.com) by
the company execs, as we are  evaluating platforms to accomplish some
rdfization of some vocabularies

an easy and free tool that could be used by this community as well to
start off a common vocabulary
this is merely a suggestion for those who may be willilng to start
putting some efforts

thre are lots of other tools too, incl sem media wiki, but the nice
thing of this is that it is web based, lets you create your vocabulary
on the fly without requiring an install, and will export rdf/owl
would be interested in your feedback too
