Adrian,
My interest in core ontologies and the potential of integrating them accross all domains has not much to do with the implementations such as yours using the current parafernalia of AI.
My approach to the problem as yet is theoretical, starting from top and going down in identifying conceptual relations where relations are represented by verbs, some of them clearly elementary mental operations in informal logic. So the model I have in mind is a top down ontology becasue I think Frege is wrong saying that the meaning of a sentence is derived from the meaning of the constituent words. There are other fallacies around as well, so i do not expect an immediate congeniality from my readers. But it would be worth discussing some issues some of you or me would raise in the future in this direction
