Lists work for sketches, not construction documents. 

Well thought out sketches and thoroughly developed, compliant, designs save a lot of time in the construction document phase for both the overall architects and the foundation contractors.

I believe it's much better to present a well thought-out proposal,
which can be read and discussed as a unified system.  Email is
much better for discussing small details rather than working out
a complete system.
