Thanks for the comments. I'd like to point out that the
idea of an ontology registry is very closely related to
the notion of a metadata registry. (02)
In fact, the same ISO committee that produced the IS 11179
on metadata also sponsored the Common Logic project, which
is now in the Final Committee Draft. There is a great deal
of overlap in the projects on metadata and ontology, and
many of the participants believe that similar tools and
logic-based representations can be used with both. (03)
