Right.

So CL support is architecturally significant within the Persistence Tier and the Business Logic Tier of the OOR (see http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/oor-forum/2010-07/pdfcKJ94EuWbo.pdf for an example of how these tiers relate).  How would/could we handle this requirement within the constraints of the BioPortal architecture (i.e. based on a triple store)?  I recall mention of the ability to plug different backends into the OOR, but I don't see anything in the BioPortal docs to suggest this.  Is this a capability that the OOR team is proposing to somehow build as an extension to BioPortal?

Cameron.

I've been reviewing the BioPortal documentation in preparation for the CL/OOR discussion.  Page 4 of the BioPortal Architecture Roadmap states that "In Year Five, we will complete the transition to a unified RDF Triple Store for all the artifacts stored in BioPortal".  How do we store CL content within a triple store?

You can't, in general. You could, in principle, in a quad store, but only very awkwardly and by using a bunch of conventions that havn't yet been standardized.
