Hi Peter,    (01)

Thanks for including my project in a pool list for the voting.    (02)

I still try to compete for a Hackathon prize (see my update report
below) but I would be very happy to hackathon with your project team -
if you win, of course :-)
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2013_Hackathon_Clinics#nid3OBR    (03)

Now - see the update for my hackathon proposal
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2013_Hackathon_Clinics#nid3OIH    (04)

I have prepared the page http://www.ddtor.com - it works online on Jetty
server (GAE) - the ace werbaliser and Pellet are running there now.
To get this project in Eclipse - just load it from SVN
http://ddtor.googlecode.com/svn/hackathon/ddtor3
Ace plugin for Protege 4.1
http://www.ddtor.com/aceview_protege_plugin.htm (just add the jar under
plugin folder and open ACE tab)
and you may may see all derived facts in Protege 4.1. I have found that
the plugin connects to an outside server for werbalizing, and Protege
stops working if any network problems.    (05)

Now I am entering the most exiting and related to the OntologySummit2013
part of this project - to explore the live growing ontologies - their
interactions, conflicts (incompatibilities) and a conflict resolution
procedures (hierarchinizing).    (06)

I propose to explore two use cases: The "marriage" ontology (simple and
readsy) and the "trasportation" ontology (it still has to be built).    (07)

Shortly, how it is supposed to work for the marriage case: see the
ontology on the main page http://www.ddtor.com    (08)

A situation: the group of four (Alice, Bill, Erick, Kate) splitted for
married pares (all are married)    (09)

Ontology A says: "Here is what means marriage... bla-bla.. And Erick
marries Kate." (Pellet derives that Alice marries Bill)
Ontology B says: "Here is what means marriage... bla-bla.. And Erick
marries Alice." (Pellet derives that Bill marries Kate)
There are 2 more options for conflicting ontologies but it's not an
issue here :-)    (010)

Now we may hierarchinize the ontologies:
Ontology C says: "Here is what means marriage... bla-bla.." (all agree)
(Pellet takes it for both as a core)
Ontology A says: "Erick marries Kate." (Pellet derives that Alice
marries Bill)
Ontology B says: "Erick marries Alice." (Pellet derives that Bill
marries Kate)    (011)

Now, Ontology C is a proved ontology, and Ontologies A and B are
competing (conflicting) on the common core (root).    (012)

It has to be choosed where to grow after "the reality" proves or denies
the conflicting facts. The hackathon output should offer a method and a
software solution for the conflict resolution scenario to update (to
grow) the common core Ontology C.    (013)

By the way, Peter, if you don't mind I will use my wiki page as an
example for this period of time (see the last node there)
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?YuriyMilov#nid3OR0    (014)

Now I plan to add a parser to the project to add this peace of
"knowledge" to the linked core OntologyC (to build my own OntolyD).    (015)

It will let Pellet to derive that "Bill marries Erick." :-)    (016)

Ladies and gentlemen!
Please vote for this project and let's go together to the hackathon event!    (017)

Regrds
Yuri
P.S. Peter, please advise if [ontlogy-dev] or any other place is more
appropriate for such sort of postings.    (018)
