A Data Dictionary defines "data" by giving you details about that data element (e.g. Attribute/Field Name, Description, Data Type, Constraints, etc.)
So a data dictionary does NOT contain artifacts such as systems, programs, data structures, subroutines, etc. and all the other systems thingies that manipulate data elements?
Just wish I could do some sort of Venn diagram here as most of these terms are heavily overlapping.
Is this description of a data dictionary saying that a metadata repository is different from a data dictionary?
If they're different, what are the differences?
