I took this form to indicate that they were conforming to WikiWord usage.  In some wikis, when you write a word like this, the wiki knows that you want to introduce a definitiion or explanation, and automatically creates a page for you to do so. unless the word has already been defined, in which case a hyperlink to the definition is created for you.  In any case, the form clearly indicates what terms name concepts in the ontology, as opposed to other words that are used.
