Hi Ed - I just disagree with the fragmentation of patenting the keyboard, then
the touch pad etc. I do realize it is an iterative process to think of,
prototype, and protect one whole new thing.... But speaking to the previous
arguments in this thread the 20 year time frame, expense, usefulness of
copyright instead - it seems like patents should become
more geared to holistic new systems and things rather than little precise
fragments almost like existing systems and things. Just my opinion - Deb (01)
