I am also Canadian (Vancouver) and on this list for years.  I have done some presentations back east in Ottawa for the government on this topic and we are grateful to have you here!  Ed Buchinski (Treasury) had me come out to do a 3 day workshop on registry-repository work for semantics/ontological research.
