The two kinds of NLP are totally unrelated.
The following two entries imply that there is some relationship.
sameAs Natural language processing
has related Neuro-linguistic programming

They are related, just by the fact that both are mentioned in the
discourse emerging here :-)

You both have valid points, but don't quite hit the real issue.

An acronym is a nickname, and the relationship
is that they have the same nickname.
That is an unfortunate, but important fact.
It is an ambiguity.

nickname ambiguity, WordNet ambiguity, dictionary ambiguity, ...
All a little different. But I'll stick with log(N).
