I would be interested in your precise formalization for "Pretty"!
100 years ago "Woman" would also be considered easy to define - less so today
with sex change and chromosome analysis. However, precise definitions are
possible but may not be universally agreed. (04)
However precise or imprecise, I can categorize "Julia Roberts"
[http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000210/] as a Pretty Woman - others may or may not
agree, cultural and personal preferences abound. We can understand what is
intended by that category without understanding another's criteria. However
problematic for FOL and Aristotle, that seems to be the way of the world and of
human thought. So I would agree with John's premise. (05)
