Some do and some don't.    (04)

When you "take a look", you look. When you "give a kick", you kick.    (05)

It's typical for nouns derived from verbs to have two possible
meanings: the action of the verb or the result of that action.    (06)

Examples:    (07)

From "construct a house", derive "the construction", which may
be either the act of constructing or the result of constructing.    (08)

"The shooting of Cheney's friend was terrible" could mean    (09)

  1. The way Cheney's friend shoots was terrible.    (010)

  2. The act of shooing Cheney's friend was terrible.    (011)
