context on pp 121-122 or 124-125 in the Report of the IFIP FRISCO Task Group
that examined a “Framework of Information Systems Concepts”: http://www.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~hesse/papers/fri-full.pdf I submitted a dissenting note to this report on our 10 years
of work and elaborated my position in a paper “Information Systems as a Social
Science” (in Falkenberg et al, 2000, Information
System Concepts, Kluwer Boston, Dordrecht, London) in which I provided a radically
different solution to the case study from the one in the Report. Unfortunately there are several
mistakes in the relevant figures so I’ll have to supply corrected versions.
