Had you considered the possibility that an organization is an event?

its really interesting to look at an organisation like that, actually

but then, pretty much everything else can be seen as an event too, right?

*everything of which there is a knowable beginning and end (as opposed to something infinite, if any)

MW: That is not the definition I would use for event. For me the essence of an event is that it brings about change.

(actually within ISO 15926 we use the term activity for this, and use event for the change in state that the activity brings about, but that is just detail).
