Just to set the record straight, and since Paola has agreed with it, I should point out that it is nonsense. There are literally no restrictions on universes of discourse in any of the existing SWeb notations or standards. On the contrary: there are many W3C documents explaining that URIs may be used to identify anything at all, and the RDF semantics makes the same point quite explicitly. There are no "W3C universes of discourse".
