Hi Duane, Brand,

I do, in fact address the aggregation aspect of this in my presentation on the evolution of the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) family of specifications and how they enable Aggregation of Services for Alerting, Routing, Reporting and Messaging Exchanges in Emergency Response Management and Emergency Medical Healthcare Delivery processes in an Event-Driven set of processes. TI will also mention that the next standard will be an EDXL Reference Information Model (EDXL-RIM). It will be the more abstract set of principles, techniques and methodology behind the family and will include an RDF Schema representation and an OWL Ontology representation.

I will make mention of the potential disruptive effect of the new OASIS SCA (Service Component Architecture)  TCs, and point out that it IS possible for these Service Composition Schemes (which I believe are more suited to work within an enterprise like an Enterprise Service Bus, rather than across enterprise boundaries) to work in a complementary fashion to aggregation within SOAs that aim to work across boundaries.

However, it is not the focus of my presentation, which is the evolution of interrelated emergency response service standards and how the infrastructure buildout to support this is proceeding.

Cheers,
Rex

It might make an interesting panel discussion.

Sorry I cannot be at this event.
