I have been seeing a higher level of "unsubscriptions" from the
[ontolog-forum] lately. ... my gut feel is that this volume of
traffic is not for everyone (and that may be one of the key causes). (01)
I appreciate the ongoing discussion and would trade anything for
it! I just wanted to thank everyone here (on behalf of the
community) for these valuable contributions; please continue the
discussion, by all means. (02)
I think we need to do something, though. (03)
One idea that might work (and give us the best of all worlds) is
to spin off the high volume traffic to another list ... while
leaving [ontolog-forum] as the community's "general discussion"
list, and the subscription to it as a marker for whether a person
is a member of this community. (04)
AA. If we do that (spin-off a new list), I would like to find out: (05)
1. what would be a good name for this new list. (06)
2. who would want to be immediately subscribed to this new list. (07)
BB. the above, obviously, is only one of many possible solutions.
I invite more ideas, suggestions and comments. We will have an
