Many thanks to the wonderful dialog going on recently in both the
[ontolog-forum] and the [ontology-summit] mailing lists. I do want to
thank everyone for their thoughtful exchange, and for sharing with
everyone their insight. (01)
As always, high traffic lists are not for everyone. Therefore I have
noticed both a recent increase in people joining the [ontolog-forum]
list (new subscriptions, meaning new membership in the Ontolog
community), and at the same time, an increase in people leaving the
list (unsubscrptions ... although, luckily, the former far out numbers
the latter.) (02)
Once again I would like to reiterate, if the Ontolog cause (ref. our
charter) aligns well with your professional interest and disposition,
DON'T leave the community (by self-unsubscribing yourself, or asking
me to unsubscribe you from [ontolog-forum]). You can choose a "digest"
or even a "no mail" option to alleviate the pressure on your inbox
(see details below.) (03)
Note that anyone who self-unsubscribes from [ontolog-forum] also gets
automatically unsubscribed from the [ontolog-invitation] (our
announcement) list as well. Therefore, if you don't want to be an
Ontolog member (active member or observer), but would still like to be
posted on our event announcements, do make sure you drop me a line to
that effect when you unsubscribe, (04)
Regards. =ppy (05)
P.S. the [ontology-summit] forum is expected to be a high traffic
mailing list (between the OntologySummit2007 Jan-18 Launch and the
April-2007 workshop. Therefore, if a particular discussion subject
matter is more appropriate for the Summit, kindly move the
conversation from [ontolog-forum] over to [ontology-summit]. Many
thanks. =ppy
