Since we (at VivoMind) are a small company that needs to make
a profit in order to survive, I understand the need to develop
a workable business model. (02)
For commercial applications, most businesses and government
agencies would prefer to pay for software that is debugged
and maintained at an industrial-strength level. (03)
But students and researchers who don't have huge budgets
should be able to start with a "lite" version that they
can use for simple projects. (04)
One possibility is to produce well defined standards for
the interfaces and logical foundations. Then we can have
a family of compatible products at different levels of
cost, performance, and functionality. (05)
