But you are forgetting that inference and reasoning isn't strictly about
a positive outcome. How about the fact that wrong or unexpected results
can contribute to the iterative process of fixing: (02)
1. source data -- SQL tables, views, or procedures (that emulate views)
2. bridge/meta/mapping ontologies
3. inference rules
4. queries
5. etc.. (03)
Data integration (enterprise or anywhere else) is an iterative process
that includes participants across many areas of specialization: (04)
1. subject-matter experts
2. ontologists
3. SQL db designers
4. SQL db admins
5. end-users. (05)
Ontologies (in any form) are tools, they aren't a silver bullet. Nothing
