Ali: All good points... The response to these points would depend on context and the value added by the effort to create and maintain the distinctions. One of my main concerns is the discrete nature of the relationships among concepts in an ontology. I have explored the application of "variable strength" binding for concept groups. The key is to find methods that are effective, efficient and practical. These methods will change from context to context, which proposes yet another "graduation -- value --- pragmatics" problem. Take care and have fun, Joe On Tue, Jan 24, 2012 at 12:00 PM, Ali SH <asaegyn+out@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Dear Joe, -- Joe Simpson Sent From My DROID!! _________________________________________________________________ Msg Archives: http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/ontology-summit/ Subscribe/Config: http://ontolog.cim3.net/mailman/listinfo/ontology-summit/ Unsubscribe: mailto:ontology-summit-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Community Files: http://ontolog.cim3.net/file/work/OntologySummit2012/ Community Wiki: http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2012 Community Portal: http://ontolog.cim3.net/wiki/ (01) |
