I think there is a misunderstanding: nobody is suggesting to finalize
the communique now. If you read the summary of the quality/gatekeeping
thread that I was referring to you will see that it actually mentions
one topic that has to be resolved during the summit. (02)
The text that Barry and I wrote is going to be used as input for the
first draft of the communique that Leo and Mark are currently working
on. As far as I know they are planning to release it tomorrow. You will
have time to comment on this first draft until Thursday/Friday this
week. These comments will be incorporated in the second draft which is
going to be the input for the summit. The communique will be finalized
during the face to face meeting in Gaithersburg. So there are still a
lot of opportunities for you to contribute to the final communique. (03)
