A first work dates back to 2006:

The work presented here is very interesting as is the link in the paper pointing to the Protégé plug-in. Is the unit testing work still active in your lab and implemented in software?

Thank you for the link. I find design patterns useful for development and engineering work and am glad to find the website. Some of the concepts seem similar to those presented in John Sowa's top-level-categories. Is there an effort to reconcile the patterns with other work in philosophy or knowledge representation?
