I wouldn't even call it a dichotomy. (04)
Logic, by itself, provides criteria for truth and for the conditions
that relate the truth of one statement to the truth of another.
But logic can't provide any criteria of value or relevance for
deciding which facts or options are significant or irrelevant
to anything. (05)
Feelings are the foundation for preferences, but without reasoning,
it's impossible to choose between a small immediate pleasure vs.
a long-term prospect of a much greater good. (06)
Both are essential. (07)
