Paola, I just discovered this email. Please, NOBODY take this man Bauer seriously. He has a complete kook, with viciously racist and homophobic views. He believes that HIV does not exist and that AIDS is a liberal conspiracy to disguise the fact that African-Americans are promiscuous; he believes in Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster, and has argued that free speech should be curtailed in order to break the dominance of the scientific conspiracy. God alone knows what he thinks of global warming. What he says, you can be quite sure, is not business/economic reality, or indeed any reality at all.
