re: RDBs and mapping (01) n-ary relations in mKR (see http://mkrmke.org) have a context-dependent "meaning" for each tuple in the relation. This "meaning" can be used to make detailed assertions or to map the tuple to another relation. (02) The mKE implementation of n-ary relations is modular; it is controlled by the "arraymode" attribute. My applications to date have used both comma-separated-values text and GDBM data base. (03) The mKE implementation of ontologies is also modular; it is controlled by the "kbmode" attribute. The options include mKE and Cyc knowledge bases.
