MW: No, in this case it depends what you mean by fruitful. You (it seems)
are equating it to immediate utility, Chris and I are talking about
unexpected utility, or at least utility beyond the immediate requirements. (03)

MW: This I do agree with. If it is not fit-for-purpose it cannot be
fruitful, but fruitfulness goes beyond fit-for-purpose. If I were to
use management hype terms, it would be "surprised by excellence".
