Of special interest is that we are planning to run a discussion
session next week (Thu 2005.03.31) on the topic: "Issues
Associated with Converting Ontologies Between Representations
(especially via Protege imports and exports)". This was brought
up (by PeterYim) as this relates to a part of the
CCT-Representation project (ref:
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?CctRepresentation#nid0136)
that we have yet to tackle. (02)
The subject, is, of course, of importance to practitioners who
has to deal with formal and informal ontologies that are
expressed in different representations -- KIF, OWL, RDF, UML,
XML, SQL, ... -- and that's almost everyone out there. (03)
Kurt has agreed to moderate this ( mainly because he is "neutral"
:-) ). He is soliciting comments and suggestions on what people
want to see covered in this session -- please post your thoughts. (04)
The date is tentative, pending confirmation of the availability
of our friends from the Protege project (which Peter will try to
follow-up on and confirm ASAP). However, do mark your calendars
now ... this session is going to be interesting and useful! (05)
