Hi Anatoly, everyone,    (01)

Here is the latest status from the Hackathon group "Ontology Design
Patterns and Semantic Abstractions in Ontology Integration"    (02)

We have one new member Tatyana Poletaeva from Russia.    (03)

Today we looked at the ontologies which have been produced or adapted by
team members overnight. We discussed how these would use terms from each
other, how to deal with overlaps and so on. We updated the application
ontology architecture (imports, modular scope etc.). We learned some
useful lessons about what to look for when re-using an existing ontology
and how to adapt or enlarge the scope (for example in dealing with the
risk assessment of changing planes, given an ontology of journey details,
you may need to add a level of detail to the original ontology).    (04)

We had some tooling issues which meant some work was lost from yesterday.
This will be re-done overnight using other tools. At the same time I will
repair some of the missing pieces and make changes as needed. Some
additional ontology work will be done overnight, e.g. to refine the
transport events versus their consequences, and to align the risk-concepts
and impacts ontological material that came in this morning.    (05)

We will meet again tomorrow to look at the work that is being done
overnight, and to bring all these different subject ontologies together
(event, journey, transportation related events, impacts, risk framework),
into an integrated application ontology with at least enough detail to
scope out what a realistic application might look like.    (06)

We meet tomorrow at 10:00 am US Eastern Daylight Time. Same details.    (07)

We have had really good quality work and ideas from everyone on the team.    (08)

Best regards,    (09)

Mike    (010)
