Hi Azamat,

Sorry for the delay in my response. As Peter Yim mentioned in http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/ontology-summit/2011-04/msg00269.html, the communiqué is a resource for us, not for the target audience we are advocating to. I think of it as a resource “recipe” where I can look through it for ingredients I can combine to create a compelling case for my specific circumstance. So the contents of the entire communiqué would never be used for any one proposal or marketing pitch. Thinking of it that way means you don’t need to agree with every point of view represented – an endorsement means you support the existence of the material as a useful resource to draw upon.

(Note that I moved my response to “ontology-summit” rather than “ontolog-invitation”)

Steve,

Somehow i missed its creation.

Just wonder if its key theses are  cast-iron, and the content could be only endorsed.

I am ready to support all the good works done, but the Communique could be bettered in regard of its content and political publicity.

Subject: [ontolog-invitation] Endorsement of the Ontology Summit 2011Communique

Dear Friends,

We had a very productive 2 day face-to-face symposium in Gaithersburg, Maryland last week, and generated a strong communiqué that links back to the rich trove of information generated during the prior three months of discussion and synthesis. With this email, I am asking you to visit the wiki site at http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2011_Communique where you will find the fruits of our labor, and to consider adding your name to the list of endorsers. Just to remind you, the goal was to assist in making the case for the use of ontology by providing concrete application examples, success/value metrics and advocacy strategies.

For inclusion in the list of endorsers, please email <peter.yim@xxxxxxxx> with the statement "I endorse the Ontology Summit 2011 Communiqué (v1.0)" to confirm your endorsement.

Thanks again for your support.
