when you send a mail, your mail software generates a HTML and an ASCII version
and includes them both so the received mail software can choose which one
to display (Content-Type: multipart/alternative). (02)
This is good because I use a text console based client and would probably
not care to search the HTML source of your mails for content. (03)
Web based mail clients also often prefer to display the ASCII version. (04)
But the ASCII version you send has fixed line breaks after 52 chars.

There is no need to add extra line breaks. It only does harm. (07)
Well - I do it too but I do it manually because typing long lines with my
editor is straining :-) (08)
Maybe there is an option to disable that or set the line break limit very
high? If not consider new mail software. (09)
