When considering the political and psychological context (and therefore ethical), there are ideas according to which the imposition or implementation of certain systems or ways of thinking (e.g., logical ways) has a harmful effect on the human mind, or has been used as a socio-political strategy. For example, some ancient Greek schools of thought and their interaction can be seen in this political context. Similarly, there are also concerns about proper pedagogy, the effects of teaching techniques and the content on minds (young or otherwise), with some ideas being that contemporary analytical (or over-analytical) thinking is damaging in certain respects. I mention these points in passing as they are a bit off-topic (but related) and require more research.
