We are pleased to announce that Universal Business Language Version
2.1 has been approved by the membership as an OASIS Standard [1].    (06)

The call to vote was announced on 18 October 2013 [2] and the ballot
closed 04 November 2103. A minimum of 46 affirmative votes were needed
in order to win approval. The finally vote tally was 77 with no
negative votes cast.    (07)

UBL 2.1 is the long-awaited successor to UBL 2.0, approved in 2006.
The product of an international effort to define a royalty-free
library of standard electronic business documents, it more than
doubles the size of the document types, adding support for eTendering,
Vendor Managed Inventory, Intermodal Freight Management, Utility
Billing, and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment to
generic supply chain document types.    (08)

TC Administration will now prepare and publish the final OASIS
Standard and notify members when it is available.    (09)

Our congratulations to the members of the TC and to the community of
implementers, developers and users who have brought the work
successfully to this milestone    (010)
